You may be wondering…

As you come to the main entrance the front door will be opened and you will be greeted by a member or two from our welcoming ministry. Once inside the doors, to your left you can connect with others for coffee, tea and snack or find answers to any of your questions about our church community from the friendly volunteer at our Welcome Desk. There you can find details on the topics of Sunday School classes being taught and be escorted to the right classroom. Or if it’s time for worship, head straight in through the front doors into the sanctuary to find a seat where you feel comfortable.
You will notice everyone is dressed comfortably in everything from ties to jeans and flip flops. So feel comfortable to come as you are!

If you have children, after being greeted at the front doors you will head to the Kids Security Desk to your right.  There you will fill out a short form giving your child’s name, birthday, allergies, and parent contact information.  That information will be put in to our computer system so on your next visit to Impact you will be able to print out a name tag for your child and pick up receipt for yourself.  Someone connected with the children’s ministry will then help you get your child to the right place.

During Sunday School and Worship service we have a staffed infant nursery (birth-17 months) and a toddler Sunday school/nursery (18 months-3 years) where pagers are available in case parents need to be contacted.  Gliders, a privacy screen, and a live feed of the service is available in the infant nursery if you are in need of a place to feed your infant during the service.

Sunday school classes are provided for all ages (nursery, Pre K, K-2nd grade, 3rd grade-5th grade, middle and high school, and adult) during the Sunday School hour.

At IWC we don’t consider the children the church of tomorrow, because they are the church of today!  With that conviction, we have our children included in service during the worship time (the first 15-20 minutes of the service) so they can witness, add to, and learn about worship through music, prayer, offering, baptism, and communion.  Preschoolers (3-4 year olds) sit with their parents, while K-2nd Junior Church and 3rd-5th grade Junior Church sit with their class and teachers in designated rows on the left side of the sanctuary.  Before the sermon, the children will be dismissed (preschool parents escort their child to the lobby to meet their teacher, K-5th with their teachers) for their age appropriate lesson time upstairs.

We take the responsibility of teaching and caring for your child seriously.  Each adult childcare worker has had a background check and you will be asked to show your pick up tag to them before releasing your child to make sure they are going to the right person.  If you have any question, please feel free to ask the worker at the Kid’s security desk

Service starts off with with a song, and after announcements we join together in worship through singing upbeat worship music lead by our worship team (drums, guitar, bass, piano, electric guitar and vocalists), through prayer, giving of offering and through the teaching given through the sermon preached. If you come the first Sunday of the month, part of our service includes communion where we remember Jesus’ sacrifice of coming to earth to die on the cross for our sins and defeating death! If you believe in Jesus’ death and resurrection you can join in taking communion, but if you don’t feel comfortable, just pass the tray to the person next to you!

What's Next?

Membership means one identifies with a community of local believers who seek to honor our Lord by serving him, reaching the unchurched and helping each of us to develop a closer relationship with Jesus. Membership classes and Baptism classes are each offered two times a year. If you are interested in being baptized or becoming a member at Impact Worship Center, let us know on your communication card or contact Bev Spain in the church office.

Have you heard the GOOD NEWS yet?

It is a joy to tell you about our church, yet the most important message we can give you is to let you know how you can have a personal relationship with God, himself.

God came into our world as the baby who was born in Bethlehem 2,000 years ago.  His name was Jesus.  Jesus was God in human flesh.  He was all God and all man.  He came to tell us all about his Father in Heaven and his offer of forgiveness.  His story is told in the Bible in the books we call the Gospels:  Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.

We read there that Jesus lived a sinless life, but was rejected by the people of his day.  They crucified him on a Cross.  He died.  However, we discover that he arose from the dead on the third day.  His body returned to life and he walked out of his tomb. We learn that he gave his life and shed his blood to offer us new life.  God has established a law that declares that sin, our rebellion, can only be atoned for by the shedding of innocent blood.

This is a faith issue.  We are all called upon by God to believe that Jesus did all of this for anyone who would trust him, invite him into their lives and seek to honor him in their lives.  When we trust in Jesus, ask him to forgive us and enter our hearts, we are changed.  We are born anew.  Our lives are cleansed by God and we now live new ones that honor God.  We honor him by the way we speak, how we act and the thoughts we think.  We read his Bible.  We pray and thank God.  We worship him.

We discover the freedom that Jesus brings to us. We can be freed from the hold our sorrows, our brokenness and our fears have over us.  The power of this personal relationship with Jesus brings his love, mercy, life, peace, joy and real hope into our hearts.  We begin to really live life as God intended for us.

We encourage you to pray and tell Jesus you believe in him. Ask him to forgive you and come into your heart.  Tell him you will begin to honor him as you live this new life in him.

If you do this, please tell someone about it, perhaps your pastor, your spouse, a friend or a parent.  If you do not have a church home, you are welcome to call our church for further discussion with one of our pastors.  Our church phone number is 419-886-9964.

May God bless you as you start your journey with him.
